Date

Description
One in a series of nine cards. Contains a photograph and a poem on a handmade book from envelope paper.
This first piece is different from the others in the series. This one is wrapped in book plastic cover. It also has an extra photo of the piece inserted in between. It has sticky tape on the back corners, but this seems to be inserted after. Some of the booklets do not have this photo ( from Booklet No. 7)
The words in the poem:
From Unknown to Unknown
life travels
the enveloping landscape of wordy mind
beneath, beyond
and
above all
words fail me.
but even it talks
I laugh as I reach for more
well-wrapped sweets
words

envelope

containment
transversing
"mistic" horizon of probability
in between
presence absence
folding unfolding
giving, receiving, tearing, discrading, preserving
polarities in flux
disrupting, constructing
complementing
threshold of conciousness
dreams
great
earth
p.3
in this space
where sun is felt
inspite of rain
I pause for strength
Looking back, I counted 25 addresses
along the zigzag road of 19 years
(not to mention hotels and forgotten places)
friends have come and gone, some stay
I keep their envelopes
emptied of letters
of words
of vessicitudes
of weights
soaring light
surpassing vibrant blue
clear quiet sky of solitude
for a moment
I feel like Yeats
"Blessed and could bless"
at
the
end
of life's journey
by
the
gate called Death
paint it black, white or whatever you like
no matter
shredded words
upon
quantum bridge
this envelope shall take wings
a container no more
but
a containment
destined
